Day 2 |  Detailed Kenya SafarisDay 1: On arrival in Mombasa, transfer to the Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa. Stay overnight in a Standard Room in preparation for your forthcoming safari early the next morning. Stay: Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa. Day 2: Board your safari vehicle and drive to Tsavo East, in the heart of elephant country. Enjoy game viewing in the park, where you are almost certain to encounter spectacular herds of elephants — often dust-red in colour from the region’s dry earth. You may also spot zebra and other plains game. After lunch in the park, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive in search of big cats and more. Dinner and overnight at the Voi Wildlife Lodge — a large lodge which has a natural waterhole that attracts big game, and a thatch restaurant with wonderful views across the plains of Tsavo East. Stay: Voi Wildlife Lodge. Day 3: After breakfast depart for Amboseli, known for its huge herds of elephant and views of Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a short game drive before lunch at Ol Tukai Lodge. The afternoon game drive gives you the opportunity to encounter resident elephant, cheetah and lion. Dinner and overnight is at Ol Tuaki Lodge, which enjoys one of the best spots in Amboseli and has chalet-style rooms. Stay: Ol Tuaki Lodge. Day 4: Leave for Tsavo West National Park and a game drive en route to the Kilaguni Serena Lodge for lunch. During this or the afternoon game drive you will visit the renowned Mzima Springs, an oasis of crystal clear water that often attracts hippos and crocodiles. One of the first lodges to be built in a Kenyan national park, Kilaguni’s magnificent views include the snowy peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro, weather permitting. Stay: Kilaguni Serena Lodge. Day 5: After breakfast, depart from Kilaguni Serena Lodge. We highly recommend that you extend your stay in Kenya on the coast for a beach break — the perfect way to relax after your adventurous safari. Either return to Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort & Spa where your safari began (if choosing this option then any excess luggage may be left here on Day 1 for your convenience) or any other featured beach hotel for any number of nights.
